Well you guessed it.....the army got him. On March 24th 1958 Elvis started his basic training at Fort Hood, Texas.

Even then, in his uniform he had an aura of something special. And it would not be long before the whole world would be calling out his name.

A few months later he was on his way to Germany. Hundreds came to say goodbye and that they will never forget him and they never did.

When he returned.....he had no regrets for the army made a man of him.
He appeared on the Frank Sinatra Welcome Home Party... Picked up where he left off... And his movie career began.
